About the Slug Generator
Each title is transliterated to ASCII before anything else: accents are removed via Unicode NFD decomposition (Crème Brûlée → creme-brulee), and letters that do not decompose are mapped explicitly, such as the Vietnamese đ → d, German ß → ss and Polish ł → l. Then & becomes “and”, apostrophes are dropped so What's gives whats, and every other run of symbols or spaces becomes one separator.
Remove stop words drops short words like a, the, of, and, to for shorter URLs; if a title consists only of stop words they are kept. Max length cuts the slug at a word boundary, so you never end with half a word. Google recommends simple, readable URLs and treats hyphens as word separators but not underscores, so hyphen is the default.
Paste a list of titles to create many slugs at once; blank lines are kept so output lines match input lines. Everything runs locally.
