About the QR Code Generator
Each mode builds the payload phone scanners understand: WIFI:T:WPA;S:name;P:password;; for networks (with special characters escaped), mailto:, tel: and SMSTO: links, and a vCard 3.0 block for contacts. The encoded text is shown so you can check exactly what the code contains. Text is encoded as UTF-8 in byte mode, so accents and non-Latin scripts work in current scanner apps.
Error correction adds redundancy: L recovers about 7% damage, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Higher levels survive dirt or a logo overlay but need more modules. The largest QR code (version 40, 177×177 modules) holds 2,953 bytes at level L but only 1,273 at H; the tool warns before you hit the limit. Short URLs give smaller, easier-to-scan codes.
Keep a quiet zone of at least four modules and a dark code on a light background — many scanners fail on inverted or low-contrast codes. SVG output is vector, so it prints sharply at any size. The code is generated entirely in your browser; nothing is tracked and the codes never expire.
