About the JSON to TSV
The quickest way to get JSON into a spreadsheet is TSV: copy the output, click a cell in Excel or Google Sheets and paste, and it fills rows and columns with no import dialog. Tab-separated output also works with cut, sort -t$'\t' and database bulk loaders.
Each object becomes a row and the header is the union of all keys. With Flatten nested keys on, {"stats": {"views": 10}} becomes a stats.views column; with it off the nested value is written as JSON text. null and missing keys become empty cells.
Values that contain a tab, a line break or a double quote are wrapped in quotes with inner quotes doubled, which is how spreadsheets encode such cells when they export TSV. The conversion runs locally in your browser.
Example: [{"id": 1, "name": "Ada", "tags": ["math"]}] produces the header id, name, tags.0 and one data row, separated by tabs. If you paste below existing headers, delete the first line of the output first.
How to use it
- Paste a JSON array or open a file.
- Choose whether to flatten nested keys.
- Copy the TSV and paste it into a spreadsheet, or download it.
