Lorem Ipsum Generator

Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin derived from Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum (45 BC), used as filler since at least the 1960s because it has a natural distribution of word lengths without drawing the reader into the content. It lets designers judge typography, line length and layout before the real copy exists.

Choose paragraphs (4–7 sentences each), sentences (6–15 words each) or an exact number of words, up to 1,000. By default the text starts with the classic “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.” Untick it for text that doesn't start the same way every time, which makes repeated blocks in a mockup look less uniform.

Wrap in <p> tags outputs each paragraph as an HTML <p> element for pasting straight into a template or CMS source view. Click Generate new text for a different random selection. For real-world testing, also try your layout with long words, many lines and non-Latin text; lorem ipsum hides those problems.
